Text: This darkness is a fear that both liberals and social democrats share. However, it is only the social democrats who have the capacity to reach out to the force likely to ultimately tip the balance in this contest - the working class. Thus the basic political arrangement that friends of freedom and democracy should adopt is a broad front led by social democrats.
